Club Sega - One of the best gaming places of Japan

Introducing here to anyone who doesn't know or haven't seen, Club Sega is a place for arcade games and is considered one of the best in Japan, with tons of games like Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, UFO Catcher (considered by most the best of them), pinballs, gamble games and a majority of other arcade games.

There are many Club Segas around Japan, but the one favorited by otakus is the one in Akihabara, mostly because it's located right in the "heart" of the town and because of its larger structure. There are six floors full of games to be played in that one.

Club Sega is so famous that it is even depicted in the video game series Yakuza (Ryu Ga Gotoku). Below there is a video of Yakuza 3(recently released to the PlayStation2)that shows with details the main character going into Club Sega and playing a lot of games.    Certainly, Club Sega is one of THE gamers' places. A really nice place to spend your money and to enjoy yourself playing till you eyes burn.

Bandai Opens Gundam Café in Akihabara!

Gundam fans can be pretty happy to know that in April 24 (last saturday), Bandai opened a Gundam Café in Akihabara. It contains a lot of unique stuff from the series, from gashapons and statues to simple Gundam-based decorations.

The place was highly appraised mainly for its decorations and menu, which serves mixed stuff including waffles, cakes, drinks, chocolates, coffee...and all with a "Gundam mark" over it. Below are some pictures of the place, and also a Gundam-shaped snack from there.
Isn't this place tempting? Let's all meet up at the Gundam Café! ^_^ Main Source:  http://en.akihabaranews.com

Interesting Food From Akihabara

It's not so long since I heard about Akihabara, the famous japanese place known as the Electric Town, full of anime, manga and video games stuff. I decided to research a bit on this town, and have been finding some peculiar stuff about it, but most of all interesting. So, everytime I can I will try to show something of Akihabara in here, and to not stand on the obvious since most people already know about it, I'll add the most different/interesting/original things from there. I'll start by posting some types of food that you can find there. Some of them look really yummy, some others are already familiar and known and a few others might border on the grotesque, so prepare your stomachs. XD

Omelet Rice. Looks kinda cute, doesn't it? :P
This is called Canned Oden. It looks like a simple Cup Noodles-like ramen can, but actually you can eat that can with yakitoris, stews, soups and also puddings.
Going through a kind of "unique route", this is the Tsundere Rice. Yeah, it is based on the Tsundere subculture/personality. It consists of rice mixed up with pieces of raw meat covered with wasabi and cool cream dressing, and served with a peculiar "golden egg".
This one might be pretty known already, it's the Osakan Okonomiyaki. Looks yummy, huh?
This is knon as a Tokyo Hot Dog. Full of baked cheese crispy and served with pink lemonade and potato chips. I'm eager to try it. *.*
This is my favorite one. The Akiba Burger!! It's a 22cm sandwich full of beef. Excellent for who likes to take a lot of protein. XD So what do you think of these "gourmet sensations"? Feel any hungry? ^_-

How to Multitask by Riding a Bike and Computing...

Imagine waking up one morning and you were late for work... you grab your bike and off you cycle to work, and oh no, you need to email your client about some important document... what do you do?

Take a look at what the people in Japan do! Supposedly there is a small community of Japanese computer enthusiasts in Akihabara who like to carry around their notebook computers so they can get some “street computing” done while walking (or even riding bicycles!): Some people say they are programming, while others are blogging. Two guys say that Twitter is responsible for turning them on to street computing. Twittering?!? Why not even use a phone to do it? Even I can do all of this on my phone! If you think this sounds too ridiculous to be true, you’re not alone. A lot of the comments left by Japanese netizens on this YouTube video are calling this out as staged (yarase) news reporting.
