Bandai Opens Gundam Café in Akihabara!

Gundam fans can be pretty happy to know that in April 24 (last saturday), Bandai opened a Gundam Café in Akihabara. It contains a lot of unique stuff from the series, from gashapons and statues to simple Gundam-based decorations.

The place was highly appraised mainly for its decorations and menu, which serves mixed stuff including waffles, cakes, drinks, chocolates, coffee...and all with a "Gundam mark" over it. Below are some pictures of the place, and also a Gundam-shaped snack from there.
Isn't this place tempting? Let's all meet up at the Gundam Café! ^_^ Main Source:  http://en.akihabaranews.com

The Gundam Bar in Kobe

Fans of the TV anime series “Mobile Suit Gundam” gather at bar “Axis” in Kobe’s Chuo Ward. Since its opening in June this year, Axis — dubbed the “Gundam Bar” — has been gaining popularity among fans for its display of nearly 300 plastic models and cocktails named after popular characters. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the launch of the anime series.

Featured Fan-Made Piano Covers on Youtube [JordanDupuis101]

Been taking a look around on Youtube and to tell you there are a infinite number of hidden raw talent that is waiting for us to open and enjoy.  Been taking time to reflect on what has been missing since the beginning and it was one of my favourite, Fan-Made Music of their chosen animes. Even JAP-On! Blog created for readers far and wide in the globe, I am sure that we will all enjoy a few moment of what some Fans played on their instruments from piano to violin or even flutes. Let's take a closer look at a YouTube player that I have been admiring for over the past few days.  JordanDupuis101 An avid piano player on YouTube over the past year, knowing the fact that he only spent 2 years playing  on the piano to be able to play to such a high standard.   Taking requests of any song that other fellow YouTubers to give it the piano feel, he surely is one professional player! Let's take a look at one of the songs that has caught my eye. Seems like he speeds up throughout the song and beautiful tones coming through, if he actually began to sell his covers MP3s online, I would gladly buy it. One budding Youtube Pianist that must not be missed though where we can see in his more recent videos such as this one. The ways he swaps instruments on his keyboard midway links the song beautifully. As I told him on one of the videos, "Beautiful". Just a request to this Youtuber... Any chance of seeing since one of your favourite animes is ♫Katekyo Hitman Reborn, any chance of having かてきょー音頭/リボーンvs沢田綱吉 ( Katekyo Hitman Reborn Ondo) and ファミリー ~约束の场所~ (Famiglia~ Yakusoku no Basho E) on the piano soon? :D Keep up the great work, JordanDupuis101! Giant Gundam character statue to light up Odaiba

[smooth=id:1;]

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first broadcast of the "Mobile Suit Gundam" animated television series, an 18-meter-tall, "full scale" Gundam statue is currently being built at Shiokaze Park in Tokyo's Odaiba. The lower half of Gundam's body, which measures about 11 meters high, has already been constructed. After other parts of the character's body are finished, including the head, arms and torso, they will all be assembled. The completed Gundam statue is expected to weigh nearly 35 tons, move its head and emit light or mist from 50 points of its body. The statue will be on display to the public at the park from July 11 to August 31, free of charge.
Lucky Japan, I want to go and see it! >: (
